What is the Grand Tennis Club

We are an active charter club. We promote organized tennis play and social events.  Our activities include league play, local tournaments, charity fundraisers, and scheduled play for all skill levels.

About 400 residents are tennis club members.  Our club always welcomes new members. Meet people easily at our drop-in sessions.  Make new friends and enjoy exercise while participating in our club-sponsored drop-in sessions.

There are 11 courts adjacent to the Chaparral Center and 3 courts at the Cimarron Center. Players can reserve courts by signing up on the same day reservation sheets available on the bulletin boards at Chaparral near Court 3 and at the Cimarron courts near the court entrance.  An online reservation system is available at http://www.holdmycourt.com/reserve2/gtc_tennis

Tennis opportunities exist for players of all levels.  If you haven't played tennis before, professional instructors offer lessons to help you get started.  If you have played for years, or if you have been away from the game for a while, our drop-in sessions are a perfect place for you. The club provides mixed doubles all skill level drop-in sessions on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 1 pm to 3 pm. The club provides ladies’ doubles play on Monday and Wednesday mornings, men's doubles play on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and mixed doubles play on Saturday mornings at Adobe and Cimarron. You can learn more about these by clicking on the links for each type of session.

You will enjoy participation from the first day on our courts.  (Note: residents may participate 3 times at drop-in sessions as a non-member to try out our club.)  GTC members have access to club ball machines for no charge.

Throughout the year, we hold General Membership meetings to keep our members informed of club activities and concerns.  We use Constant Contact emails to keep in touch and get members’ opinions on issues related to the club.

A Membership form is available on the bulletin boards at the courts, and at http://www.grandtennisclub.com/GTC-2013.html  or here at GTC-2013.html Membership is $15 per calendar year.

For more information, call or email Walt Volland, President, at 623-975-9238 or volland@cox.net, or visit our web site.

We look forward to welcoming you to the club and having you join our tennis family.
